The magnificent Victorian Winter Garden at Avery Hill is open to the public from 10am – 4pm throughout the year (closed one hour at lunchtime).
On this website, you can read about the Winter Garden’s history, the park and the active Friends Group which aims to improve the amenity and habitat of the park.
The Winter Garden is need of restoration but parts are fully open with a wide range of flowers and trees. It is owned and managed by the University of Greenwich. The Royal Borough of Greenwich is committed to a bid to the National Heritage Lottery Fund and taking over its ownership.
