A day of music, food and entertainment for children will be held at the Avery Hill Winter Garden on Saturday 13 June.

There will music from acoustic guitarist Scott Peppitas, the Woodland String Quartet and the University of Greenwich jazz group with Prosecco Van and BBQ.

The day will also mark the re-opening of the Winter Garden’s west wing which its owners, the University of Greenwich, and the Friends of Avery Hill Park are collaborating in bringing back into use.

There will also be a crochet trail of 20 ‘wildlife characters’ dotted around the three zones of the Garden for children to follow and tick off and lawn games on the grass in front.

The event starts at 11am with food from 12noon and music from 1pm. A taster session from the Calm Minds yoga group will run from 11am–11.45am.

The New Eltham Dance School will be performing at 12.45pm and Princess Ariel will be appearing in the pond room.
